A relaxing stay awaits you in our two bedroom cabin, complete with hot tub and log burning stove

Frequently Asked Questions

What time is check in / check out?

Check in is from 3pm onwards, via a secure lockbox. Check out time is 10am.

We do not provide early check in or late check out. The hot tub is completely drained, cleaned and re filled between each guest and we require this full amount of time to do so, along with cleaning and laundering the cabin

Do you have parking?

Yes, we have free private parking available on our property for up to three cars

Can I bring any extra guests?

No extra guests are permitted other than the ones declared in your booking. This is for insurance purposes and to avoid any damages, or parties which are strictly forbidden. We have a doorbell camera to ensure that only the amount of guests in your booking (up to four) are on the property at any time. This also makes your self check in easier as we are remotely on hand should you need any assistance

Are Children Allowed?

Yes, children are most definitely allowed and should be mentioned in your booking details. There is a highchair available for your use. Please do supervise your children at all times. Note: we do not recommend using the log burning stove if you have any young children as there is no fire guard for safety

Do you allow dogs?

Yes, we allow up to two well behaved dogs. We do ask that dogs are not permitted on the beds and that dogs should not be left in the property unattended. Dogs are required to be mentioned when booking and there is an additional cleaning fee of £10 per dog. Owners must "pick up" after their dog(s) both on our property and all other site areas, no exceptions.

When can I use the hot tub?

The hot tub will be heated and ready for you on arrival (3pm) up to 9:30pm. After your first day the hot tub can be used from 9am up to 9:30pm at night, this is to keep outdoor noise to a minimum and respect our neighbours.  We recommend bringing outdoor flip flops / sliders to minimise dirt and keep the hot tub sparkly clean throughout your stay. Swimwear should be rinsed in clean water before using the hot tub (this can be done at home before your visit) - any fabric wash / conditioner residue from freshly laundered swimwear will cause an unwanted foamy residue and will shorten the lifespan of our filters. For this reason we also recommend that guests shower before using the hot tub, avoiding any moisturisers and absolutely no fake tan

Is the property suitable for those with limited mobility?

Due to the property being a raised log cabin, we have four wooden decking steps leading up to the front door so please do bare this in mind and use your own judgement

Do you have wifi?

We do have wifi and this is available for you to use throughout your stay, along with the TV being a smart TV for your entertainment services

Are towels and linen provided?

We provide two towels (one green hot tub and one white bath towel) per guest. We also provide robes and slippers. All bed linens are included, along with a hand towel in the bathroom and tea towel in the kitchen.

How do I pay for my booking?

At the time of booking we charge a 25% deposit, the remaining balance is due 4 weeks before your stay. For more information see our terms and conditions

Why do you take a breakage deposit?

A lot of care and time has gone into Goldcrest Cabin and it is also our much loved holiday home. We request a breakage deposit when booking which helps to protect our  cabin. The breakage deposit is your acceptance that you understand that you are responsible for the property during your stay and that if damage does occur, you will be accountable for covering the cost of repair. We understand that accidents do happen, therefore usually do not seek recompense for minor damage but we do ask that that you let us know should any damage occur. This enables us to remedy it in time for the next guests arrival. We endeavour to return the breakage deposit to you as soon as possible after your holiday ( This is usually processed within 5-7 days but please make sure you send us your correct bank details so that we can refund it)

Can I cancel my booking?

If you are forced to cancel your holiday you must inform GC as soon as possible. Bookings may only be cancelled if we receive written notice of four weeks or more via email. The day we receive your notice to cancel is the date on which we will determine whether this is within our cancelation policy. If we determine your cancelation to be valid (ie we have received four weeks or more written notice) any payments you have made to us to date shall be returned to you via your original payment method. (Less a £30 administration fee at our discretion). We do recommend taking out travel insurance for your holiday / short stay with us at the same time as booking

What is the Cabin layout like?

We have included a floor plan to give you a better idea. The living room / dining rooom / kitchen are all open planned, providing a very spacious social area.
